I have often wondered why all durable and affordable (read: plastic) folding chairs for outdoor use need to be ugly.
On the Finnish terrace scene, the ugly white plastic chair has achieved an almost iconic status, demonstrating a widely spread lack of interest in esthetics, design and user experience. I have been afraid that if the trend continues, there soon won’t be any options in the market.
Luckily, it seems I don’t need to worry. Some people still care.
